The researcher's rationale for this article is: "I’ve made it clear to the editor that I don’t want to write an article condemning witchcraft... Instead, I thought it might be a good way of breaking down a few barriers and challenging some stereotypes that Christians might have of witches. It might also give them food for thought as to why church didn’t fulfil their spiritual needs. For example, I remember at the last ASSAP day, I spoke to a witch who said that Christianity’s male-centric deity was a problem for her. I thought that was fascinating and something that Christians could learn from."
He would like to know:
-the opinions and stories of witches who may have had positive or negative experiences with the church
-if any witches might have any sort of apologetic or explanation for the reading of the anti-witch texts of the Bible? Are their Christians who would also practice witchcraft? If so, how do they reconcile those texts?

I would like to add my comment on witches and the church.As I understand it the christian church follows the teaching of a man they call jesus,who had a small number of followers who would convene(which is were we get the word coven from)to discuss the higher spiritual levels of the human condition.they were also said to meet in a grove of olive trees(which I am shore rings a bell with some of us). the whole of the bible from start to finish from abraham,moses,and esecially king soloman through to jesus is full of people doing magic.The idea that witches and christians are somehow different is silly.As far as I am aware the only differents is that christians are the ones that kneel before there alter and simulate eating flesh and drinking the blood of there God which witches do not do,as this would be classed as blackmagic.It is time for everyone to stop looking at what makes us different and focus on the things we have in common,we are all looking to our higher selves which we give different god names too,so we can advance as the human race and evolve into more spiritual beings.Excepting the way others practice there beliefs is the key to the peace and harmony that we are all looking for.
